Dr. Mackie, the owner/director of two Animal Birth Control clinics in Los Angeles, has been a spay/neuter specialist since 1976 and is nationally recognized for his work in early age sterilization. He offers an extensive surgical training program and a widely distributed video on his procedure.
Dr.Mackie Speaks Around the World
In December, 1997, he was a featured speaker at the National Animal Congress in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He conducted a lecture, was a panelist for questions regarding spay/neuter and conducted surgical spay/neuter training for Brazilian veterinarians.
In June, 1999, he was a featured speaker at the Pet Overpopulation Conference at the University of Minnesota. Again, he presented a lecture and surgical spay/neuter training for veterinarians.
In October, 1999, he was a featured speaker at the American Society of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals' Fall Conference at the University of Illinois where he lectured and conducted surgical spay/neuter training.
In December, 2002, he was a featured speaker at the University of Tennessee's Veterinary Conference where he lectured and conducted surgical spay/neuter training.
In October, 2003, he conducted surgical spay/neuter training for five Southern California veterinarians in a program sponsored by a member of the Los Angeles Department of Animal Services Board.
In September, 2004, he spoke at JBVP(Japan Board of Veterinary Practitioners) conference in Tokyo on his early-age neutering technique ” Quick Spay=Mackie Method”.
He has trained over 100 veterinarians for all across the United States, including Hawaii, in his spay/neuter surgical technique.
Since 1989, he has trained veteriinary interns in his spay/neuter surgical method. Since then, 30 young graduates have learned his efficient technique while performing over 350 surgeries under his watchful eye.
During his 27 years of specializing in spay/nueter surgery, he has employed over 30 veterinary surgeons, all of whom have learned his technique. |
